Ãœber die Veranstaltung
For more than 14 years, the Leica Professional Department has been running workshops with professional photographers, for an audience of photography enthusiasts and amateurs, from all nations, from all peoples.
We organize meetings revealing the secrets of a book project, from its first idea to its realization, then its commercialization and global success. We are talking about a project in black and white or in colour, from its origin to its publication on paper in a book or in the press, television interviews or social media linked to it.

Klaus Mellenthin: "MISEREOR"
A year ago I realized film and photography recordings for the NGO MISEREOR under corona conditions. This resulted in photographic reports, portrait series and some strong individual motifs.
But the main part of the work was a 14-minute documentary about the important role of women and how they are supported by the work of the NGO. There are 3 short versions, each accompanying a protagonist.
I was specifically booked as a photographer in order to transfer exactly my visual language and style from photography to moving images. That's why I worked with the same minimal team as in photography. And of course with the same cameras: SL2 and SL2-s. We only exchange the lenses because the SL lenses are too sharp and brilliant for us. The optics of the R lenses (Summicron 28 & 50 & 90) support our imagery better.

Line Brusegan: Leica SL2 fashion and portrait in the streets of Arles
Professional photographer based in Paris, from advertising campaigns for major brands to portrait shoots of artists, including the backstages of PFW, I have worked for several years for many luxury brands in the world of fashion and beauty.
Photography is my form of expression, to be a photographer is to go beyond technical mastery, beyond simple reproduction, beyond appearances, it is to tell stories. This medium allows me to express myself with sincerity.
My objective is to highlight the creators, the enthusiasts, the artists, the mastery of their art but also the process behind the creation and thus to bring to the public a reflection on the human being behind the final creation. My photographic writing has always been inspired by the great humanist photographers but also by a simple and sincere dialogue with the models."
